Not quite…
This year:
Each year I offer up what has in the past been a somewhat accurate prediction of the weather
for the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. This is not a forecast as it’s too hard to determine that far
in advance what the weather will be, so it is only a prediction .
Thumbs Up
TBF 2013 Weather Prediction
For the week before the festival (June 8 - June 15)
Warm and clear - Chance of rain 30-50%
Winds 5-15 mph with gusts to 25 mph
High temperatures in the 60’s and 70’s Farenheit
Low temperatures in the 30’s and 40’s Farenheit
For the week of the festival (June 16 - June 23)
Warmer with more clouds - Chance of rain 50-70%
Winds 10-20 mph occasional gusts of 40 mph
High temperatures in the upper 60’s to low 80’s Farenheit
Low temperatures in the low 40’s to mid 50’s Farenheit
Bring your rain coat. It will be wetter than last year, but I don’t think it will snow as much.
Be sure your tent doesn’t leak on your bedding or dry clothing.

Although there was approximately 3 inches of snow last year on Sunday night/Monday morning it
was technically after the festival and not included in last years prediction. That’s my disclaimer,
and I’m sticking to it.
and the year before:
As I do every year, here’s what I predict for this year:
Windy and Warm… kinda like last year, but…
Highs during the day during pre-fest: low 60’s to mid 70’s.
Lows during the night during pre-fest: mid 40’s to low 30’s with a chance of frozen water jugs.
Highs during the day the week of festival: mid to upper 70’s to low 80’s.
Lows during the night the week of festival: mid 40’s to low 50’s (but it’ll feel colder).
Windy conditions during the week, with possible gusts in the 20-40 mph range.
Chance of showers: 30% to 40% early in the week to 10% to 20% late in the week, but mostly dry.
Note: This a a “prediction” not a “forecast”.

Rofl.Landshark. Lite fleece and poncho only? That’s like telling you if you come to Tucson in
June , that 95 degrees is too cool to swim in the pool. Seriously most kids here think 90 and under is too cool for pools.
:lol :lol :lol oH man up D!!! :lol
My Hands Still Hurt From The SnowLoadOut last year! Brrrrrrrrrrrr :huh
2011 was “Snowmageddon Packout”…last year was quite warm and smoky. :cheers

I know this has been mentioned before; but, all the experienced festivarian really needs to know is that solstice is at 11:04 p.m Thursday and it’s a full moon summer solstice weekend.

True that! Come Hell or high water; just come.
This is pretty cool - looking at Bridal Veil Falls - is there a web cam for Town Park?
May 8th and it’s snowing . . . I’d plan on it being cold . . .

Here’s another Telluride web cam that you can manipulate.

It also has sound most of the time.
The only rain I remember in the entire 10.5 days was right when Vince played Rainmaker around 3 am one night/morning… Was anyone else there? It started sprinkling just a little bit while they all played, and when the song was over, the rain stopped… :thumbsup
Oh yeah, it happened. It was on Sunday morning after the great show at the Palm and the bus ride back to camp. :festival :vibes
