2013 Lineup Suggestions

Giant Sand. Saw them last night, and at Hardly Strictly. Musically diverse, and those guys can jam.

Speaking of The 'Dusters…got to The Festy this year - two favorite new band take aways;
-Floodwood and Whitehorse.

Also, I’ll say it before and again but Toubab Krewe (pretty pretty please :flower )

Two random non-“bluegrass” acts that could be killer;
-St. Vincent & David Byrne (weird as Bryne’s set was at 36, I feel like the general consensus was it was pretty enjoyable)
-First Aid Kit, finally got to see them at ACL. Those girls can bring a great show great for some hippie dancing!

(and everything else said by everyone else on the forum…can we turn TBF into a 24/7 festival yet? Not like we’re not already there for at least a week…)

I would walk from the Puget Sound to Telluride if Emmylou Harris and Mumford & Sons would get up on stage and play the same set that they did earlier this year on CMT’s Crossroads. Outstanding harmonies and arrangements, wow

Also, Carrie Rodriguez. Emmylou redux with a fiddle

exciting new up and coming bands!!!

Dead Winter Carpenters

Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit

Fruition

Check 'em out!

David Byrne’s set was great. I’ll never forget the all white suits & the backup dancers. When was the last time before or since there have been backup dancers up on stage? (Boomchicks not included)

recently downloaded a St. Vincent/Byrne show off co tapers that was pretty good.

I would love to see the Allman Brothers!!

Another bet would be the Tedeschi Trucks Band.

Other suggestions are great too!!

How could we not have the Seldom Scene.

Hey…I’ve got it!!! Wow…I can’t believe nobody else suggested this:

Music that doesn’t totally suck!

AMEN!!! :flight

Auntie Hope :festivarian2 :green

I would love to see Trampled by Turtles. I was so sad they were not there last year.

so long as you aren’t thinking of the music that you are thinking of cause that music does totally suck. No, not that music, the other music.

No worries, I was thinking of that sucky stuff.

That leaves my band out. But that’s nothing but discrimination! Time to hire a bad attorney!

You’re being redundant again

I just found out that Pat Flynn and Leon Russell have been working together recently. That would be an excellent Telluride show.

Railroad Earth

Pert Near Sandstone

Brown Chicken Brown Cow Stringband

Carolina Chocolate Drops

I’m quite familiar with Chocolate Drops (old timey) and RRE (I guess I’d call them speedgrass) . How would you classify Pert Near and BCBC?
