2013 Lineup Suggestions

I say you missed it! :wave PNS’s Winter Gathering was this past wknd…now they’re back out the road, I think 'til April? Tough to keep track. I missed em, but heard Horseshoes&HandGrenades were in town too. Great string band wknd in MinnyApple this past.

Let me know if you’re coming up for others, eh? :cheers

Just to let you all know, I finally got my countdown fixed on my website. :thumbsup

Now you all have no excuse knowing how long you have to pack. :lol

these guys

I love how Bela always looks indifferent in photos.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Love those sweet faces! We all never really change. I would love to see a shot like this of the first row at fest I bet its the same folks!!! Man they play pretty together!

That would be a killer nightgrass show, too!

It never occurred to me how much Pat Flynn looked like Tim Curry. If they reunite, I want a ripping “Time Warp->Sweet Transvestite” to celebrate the event!

I have my packing list going already…

145 days…

Gonjasufi could bridge the gap ??? Be great with Jackson Browne…

Just heard this group called Black Prairie, an outgrowth of The Decemberists.

Fun! :medal

The Tiny Desk Concerts are awesome. Black Prairie is a great little project.

Hmmmm…And if Black Prairie played, Sarah Jarosz could join them for their version of “Queen of the Silver Dollar.” Hmmmmmmmm…

I like it
Black Prairie Modulators

here is a couple tweets from Bela earlier in the month.
Sounds like a good choice to bring to our fest.

Béla Fleck ‏@belafleckbanjo
Hey friends, how’s the new year unfolding for you? I’m having a great time in Mexico doing three duo gigs with Abigail Washburn.

Béla Fleck ‏@belafleckbanjo
We intend to start doing a lot more of that later in the year. It’s sweet to get to play music with my wife! Best to all you’all, Bela

sounds like a telluride act to me!!! :cheers

I understand that David Byrne was on Letterman last night with St. Vincent. Didn’t see it, but their new album is fantastic.

Which got me to thinking (ouch) that they are out on tour, have a TBF connection (as my ALL TIME favorite TBF performance!) AND certainly qualify as artists who, as Ferg laid out, “could fill Red Rocks”.

Could it be?

Go on, Ferg, make my day! (I typed that Eastwood style but without talking to an empty chair!)

Greensky. Pert Near. Yonder. Trampled. RRE. Leftover. Devil Makes Three. Hot Buttered Rum. Punch. (and many who go without mention).

Looks like goat rodeo will be touring in August

Bethel woods on aug 16

With the punch brothers done touring for the year after this tour and yo yo with no dates after europe jun 14,

I have a good feeling about a nice warm up set.

Fingers and toes are crossed

That’s way better than any of the other rumors. Sorry Neil, but YoYoMa beat syou
