2012 Single-Day Lineup

Since the single-day ticket lottery opens tomorrow (Feb 7), here’s a peek at the single-day lineup…

In addition to all the artists from our initial announcement on the winter solstice, the 2012 lineup now include: John Fogerty (!!), Glen Hansard, Laura Marling, Jerry Douglas featuring Omar Hakim & Viktor Krauss, Edgar Meyer & Mike Marshall, Dan Mangan, Joy Kills Sorrow, The Devil Makes Three, Head for the Hills, and a very special festival-opening wholly improvised set from Bela Fleck & Chris Thile.

A couple things to note: The exact performance order is still TBD (the order below is not the performance order); and we still have a few TBDs for early-day sets on Sunday that we’ll share with you as soon as those confirm in the coming days/weeks.

Here’s the single-day lineup…

WOOO!!! I thought The House Band was playing Friday this year. Really excited to see Jerry playing with Omar and Victor again. Omar may be the best drummer I’ve ever seen. The Devil Makes Three and Head for the Hills have me excited as well.

Having seen Fogerty opening for the Allman Brothers, I’m pretty excited, that dude knows how to rock! Friday night is gonna be awesome!

Lots of interesting new fiddles this year. This pleases me ;D
Yay Bush family for being up wayyy too late.

Also, yep FRIDAY IS GOING TO FREAKIN ROCK! FESSSSTTTIIIVVVAAALLL!
Now all I need is some sort of giant fish hat (preferably before leftover at the wilma)

… just need the backing band to show up too

Only problem is … when do we go back to camp and eat :huh
Sleep will come post fest.

Della Mae, Laura Marling, Joy Kills Sorrow, K.D. Lang, Alison, the ladies of Party of Seven…

I, for one, welcome our new female overlords!! :lol :lol

Well done! A new influx of female talent is just what this heart needed!

Can anyone recommend albums to listen to by the following artists (Not familiar/looking for an introduction)

John Prine
Laura Marling
Dan Mangan
Della Mae
Marcus Roberts Trio
Head for the Hills
k.d. land & the Siss Boom Bang
Omar Hakim & Viktor Krauss
The Devil Makes Three
Run Boy Run
Glen Hansard

Love discovering new music!! Thanks for any recommendations :thumbsup

I just saw Head for the Hills last week, and LOVED their show. Also Glen Hansard?!?!? Going to be such a great fest. Thanks PB! :cheers

Looks Great… though its good to see that performance order is still TBD! Greensky should be later on Thursday. i love folk singers but would much rather hear Greensky tear it up during the first sunset of the festival! Everything else looks great! i can’t wait for Hornsby to be at this festival… hopefully he does lots of sitting in

Looks like a good time, not that impressive of a line-up though(this line-up will end my 9 consecutive TBF streak). I will enjoy Blues and Brews this year instead. Have fun festivarians!!

Fogerty? Really?

The first time I saw him I thought I would NEVER see another artist who enjoyed himself so much on stage. Subsequent Fogerty shows have only deepened that thought. This guy LOVES what he does for a living and is SO appreciative of his audience.

Oh yeah, one other thing; for an old fart (like me!), this guy ROCKS!

Getting up for the finals of the band contest is gonna be rough on Saturday!

YEAH BABY!!! LOvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvved that clip attached. Gritty, still raw and rippin with Fun! I am so excited…goosebumps at 9:40. Oh yeah :medal

I assume the following is OK with PB since the artists are compensated…if not I will remove the post.

Jackalope…do you use Spotify? I like spotify as it pays the artists (if you think they are paid fairly or not is another discussion) and allows you to listen to full albums. I tend to listen on spotify first and then buy if I like the album, it’s a great service IMO. The free version is ad-supported and there is an ad free version for $10/month that also allows you to listen on your mobile device or offline.

I’m working on a best of playlist of all the TBF Artists that are on spotify, I’ll post that here later…but here are some of the artists you asked for.
