2011 Announcement #3

It’s Sunday, how about another 2011 artist? :flower

No big build up here…you know them, and love them.

They practically started their career at the festival, and it’s always great to have them back…

(scrolling)

joining us for the 2011 Telluride Bluegrass Festival…

Railroad Earth

:cheers

Keep em coming! It’s cold outside and all of this Festy talk is helping us keep warm. Now all we need is TP tix!

I am taking a big bite of the winter solstice time, waiting for that other solstice time. Yeah, this sounds good.

Oh hell yeah. Bring 'em to another Nightgrass extravaganza!!!

I swear I would come for these guys alone. I was waiting - and hoping - for this one. Thank you and thank you.

As an ode to Telluride, how about RRE doing “Misty Mountain Hop” with a special guest singer from across the pond?

3 artists and 3 homeruns. Can’t wait to hear some more (cough cough Leftover).

Very nice. I loved their 2009 set and can’t wait to hear what they come up with this summer. Excellent job, PB.

thanks, dustin!!

circumstances kept me from missing RRE’s 2009 set, which was a MAJOR bummer for me. i just moved to virginia and caught these guys at The National in richmond a few weeks ago. KILLER time! I love this band! I love Telluride!!

Yes!!! :thumbsup

would LOVE to see them at the Sheridan again. But I’m sure you already knew that.

Missed their last shows here in Chicago…ABSOLUTELY stoked to see them in T-ride. Sheridan…hmmmm…sounds nice! :thumbsup

Their Sheridan show in 2009 was by far the most insane set of the weekend for me, and one of the most inspired sets of music I’ve ever seen. My brother and I often reminisce about Jeff Austin’s face after his solo on “Reuben’s Train” – his face exuded this feeling that something special was happening on stage, and that he had no idea how he just played what he played. Truly magical stuff. I hope they bring that energy to the big stage this year – after such a stunning performance at the Sheridan, their Town Park set felt kinda drowsy and showed a very different, spaced-out side to the band. Still cool though!

Anyway – here’s the link to the archive of that Sheridan show, if there’s anyone on these boards who has yet to hear it

YES!!! RRE and TBT were both very high on my wish list…it’s like Christmas morning.

I already love looking forward to summer, but this just makes it better
