Who would you like to see on the town park stage in 2019?

I am such as huge RRE fan. To see them play at Telluride would be so nice.
They headlined last May in KC, Bluegrass in the Bottoms. Andy had just went on hiatus from the tour.
Though it wasn’t the same without his banjo rolls, the set was still solid.
I think all RRE fans will feel a big hole in RRE’s sound without Andy.

RRE did just announce their Winter schedule.

Donna the Buffalo!!!

I also like Infamous Stringdusters

I plead the 5th … herd of 'em ?

Donna the Buffalo would be a ton of fun ! not “traditional” bluegrass but they keep people groovin’

Rainbow Girls :thumbsup

I got this Ferg! :lol

I really hope to see Hot Rize again, we play them a lot and I’ve only ever seen them live once!

Bandof Heathens

Kara Jean recs Molly Tuttle

You beat me to it. She’s due. Without a doubt. JerryD just tapped her to join the Transatlantic Sessions tour of the UK in February. She’s making waves all over the place.

We caught Alison Krauss here in Houston a couple of months ago. Might just be the best show for 2018. Some guy named Robert Plant turned me on to her. We saw them together at Austin City Limits Festival and New Orleans Jazz Fest. Will travel several miles to see her again.

This is our first TBF, so not going to ask for much. Here are just a few on my long list.
1.Punch Brothers
2.Richard Thompson
3.Snarky Puppy
4.Uncle Earl

I’d only hope that the Punch Brothers return again. I don’t really like picking favorites, but if there was only one acoustic act record in my desert island bag, it be them. I’d second all the other suggestions as well.

Snarky Puppy would be amazing. Dawes would bring down the house. I could easily see Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit headlining an evening as well.

Did not really connect with Jason Isbell this year at Jazz Fest. I enjoy his music but I guess I was just having a bad day.
Looking forward to seeing him in Texas at Old Settlers Fest in April. Jason Isbell/acoustic set.

John Prine has a gap in his newly announced 2019 tour from June 8th-June 21st! That be a cool maybe!

His writing is right there with Dylan IMO and his delivery may be softer and older but he still has that sweet funny disposition and his tunes still resonate. Epic and squeal worthy :cheers

Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Prine, Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real, Old Crow Medicine Show, Case Lang Veirs, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Trampled by Turtles, Langhorne Slim, CSN, First Aid Kits, Drive By Truckers, Keller Williams, Nathaniel Rateliff, Jose Gonzales, Josh Ritter, Robert Plant, Shakey Graves, Shovels and Rope, Keller with String Cheese, Fogerty, Loudon Wainwright III, Hiss Golden Messenger, The Wailers, Ben Harper, Leon Bridges, Gary Clark Jr., Parker Millsap, The Lone Bellow, Fruition, Andrew Bird, Rebirth Brass Band, The Decemberists, Laura Marling, Blitzentrapper, The Tallest Man on Earth, Wilco

Return of recent greats: Live from Here, St. Paul and Broken Bones, Wood Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks, Sturgill

Thats one humdinger of a list! Reminds me I’d love to see Dolly! And I’ll never ever refuse a Wilco show!

Dolly she does swing like no other. One of a kind voice and lady. That would be goosebump city. Yep all sounds good Neil Young, Chris Stapleton, Nathaniel. Good ones.

Lets thrown in some Will Smith and mix this up. Wake up the ears with some strange, meaning different.

A day of the girls:

Return of the Boomchicks
Emmylou Harris
Allison Krauss
Aoife O’Donovan
Sarah Jarosz
Sarah Watkins
Gillian Welch
Mary Chapin Carpenter
Ani DiFranco
Rhiannon Giddens

Can you imagine a whole day of female vocalists?

I thoroughly enjoyed Live from Here last year and hope they will make TBF a regular stop.

But the band I’m most looking forward to is the one that TBF books from outside the lines of Bluegrass. Janelle Monae? David Byrne? Barenaked Ladies? Sharon Jones? Tedeschi Trucks? Those were some of my favorite shows of all time! I LOVE that Ferg and Company feel like we are open to great music, no matter the genre.

All girls day would be sweet. I’d toss old Bonnie Mae Paine in there too.
