How full will the “shaded” reserve area be if we are arriving around 1pm on 6/12 the SATURDAY BEFORE the festival?

Telluride Tom cleared up the “when” with his original post…opens at 8am…just wish our flights into Durango were EARLIER! Hoping we have some room for a few tents (we have a crew of at least 6, but may combine forces with anther group, depending on how it works out), but we’ll find something I’m sure. Hopefully SHADED!

We were noobies last year as well and couldn’t show up until Wednesday night, around midnight. Obviously that is not ideal, and we walked/stumbled around for about an hour in the dark trying to find a place to set up our tent that wasn’t right next to the port-o-johns. We ended up squeezing into a pretty sweet spot, but there was just two of us in one tent, and I felt extremely lucky to find the spot we did. It would’ve been impossible if we had any more gear.
We have six in our group this year and we will be there on Saturday morning when the gates open to ensure we have the space needed for our little camp.

Yeah, I definitely needed to change the name! I was clearly not thinking long term (or one could argue short term too) when I signed up with that name last year, so thanks to BluegrassDustin again for hooking up the name change!
You may need a “tray” of beer to pass around at festival time. 
I like the idea. I’m thinking I could hand out a tray of drinks each day, with each day having its own theme or drink. I like it. Keep an eye out for the guy stumbling around TP handing out a tray of free drinks.

Yeah, I have a feeling that one is going to leave a mark. My only hope is that people on here have a short memory.
On a completely separate note, is anybody going to the Waterfront Music Festival at the Mish in May? I just bought my tickets today. The lineup is pretty stellar for the price!
We are going to the WaterFront Fest, I originally bought the ticket with camping, not sure I am going to stay at that campground though. Should be a great time. We have a group of 6 maybe 8. Hope to see ya there.

Yeah, we are only going to the festival on Saturday. We are going to camp Friday and Saturday nights, but not at the festival camping area. We go to several shows a year at the Mish and have stumbled upon a super cool and secluded camping spot about a 10-15 minute drive away. We probably have around 12 in our group who’ve already bought tickets. I’m getting pretty excited for it because that lineup really is killer! Anyhow, hopefully we will run into you guys there.
