Got a rejection email as well.
Anyone have an extra ticket or two to sell??
Jeri and I we’re shut out as well. But looking forward to tonight’s Traveling McCoury’s with Billy Nershi and Horseshoes and Hand Grenades here in Madison. Leftover Salmon was great last nite as well and I should see them tomorrow as well. Need top tickets for camp maple alley.
Ima Reject…
… just emailed me…
Got my Dear John e-mail this afternoon. Oh well.
Ellen
Got my day ruined too! NEED 2 TP pleAse.!!! Uuuuggggghh. I really really hate the steps that follow … Need two for Town Park… Need two for Town Park… Just getting my fingers stretched and warmed up for typing this Over and Over … Happy happy happy for everyone else who won though! May you be so fortunate not to have to be here asking… need 2 for TP
The bluegrass gods were good to me. 10 out of 14 tp tickets! I’ll probably end up with a couple extras for sale on the boards at some point. I’m sure there are many like me, so don’t despair. I’ve always been able to scrape up enough tickets for my group in the past.
Edit: 10 / 14 for my group as a whole. No rule breaking here.
Me too. Alex got his ticket, though. So I only need to find two this year.
Congratulations DANKS!
Your entry was drawn and you have purchased the following from the Town Park Lottery:
2 TBF Town Park Camping, includes 4-day pass. Discount Price
:cheers
Jeri and I got shut out as well.
As usual, got shutout . I only wanted one ticket. GonePicking certainly did not break any rules, but this is exactly what’s wrong with this system. 30 people get together and each orders 10+ tickets, if just 3 of them get at least 10 tickets, the whole group is covered. If you’re not part of a large group, you are at a disadvantage. Up until last year I’d been to 11 festivals in a row. The reason I go to the festival is for the incredible music, not to socialize. I consider myself very friendly but a little shy.
Certainly it’s possible to pick up tickets on this forum, but last year it was practically impossible (I checked the "Tickets to buy or sell frequently).
I prefer Warner Field, until it went lottery last year I was always able to get a ticket. I like the the first come first serve, I think it evens out the odds some when competing against large groups. But I know it is impossible to come up with a completely fair system.
Just my personal point of view. Thanks!
Got our better luck next time letters…one of these years we will score a TP with a vehicle pass to boot…keep us in mind if the any one out there in festivaria has a couple extra and a vehicle…and wants us to bring you coffee in bed or in line all festival…!
Congrats to the winners… :dancing :dancing
Hey, pretzel. I’m sorry you got shut out. But it’s a bit presumptuous for you to call me out as an example of what’s wrong with the ticketing system. As it happens, the 14 tickets we tried for were for 8 people. I’ve never sold a ticket for more than face and last year I gave away my extras to strangers. But even if these tickets were for 2, we would have only been bound by the same rules you were. It was either bad luck or poor preperation that caused you to get shut out, not me. Blaming me without any idea of my situation is in very poor taste. That being said, I hope you find your way to Telluride in in June. Good luck.
The situation gonepickin described is exactly what is wrong with the ticketing system. 4th year in a row I and all of my friends have been shut out. I understand PB helps out their friends, but at some point they need to allow the public a chance.
Hey, Cap’n. Sorry you got shut out. Would you please elaborate on what specific aspect of my situation is so wrong? I assure you, I have no special pull with PB. We entered the lottery like everyone else.
I have to say, I only meant to provide hope with my post, not incite such criticism.
We’re headed west this summer!!!
I also got the too bad notice. Fact is, there are only so many Town Park and Warner Field spaces available, and I suspect the demand for them goes up every year. If I really want to go, there are other options still available. The issue, for me, is how badly do I want to hear themusic.
What really gets me, however, is that scalpers are already selling tickets- both Town Park and single day on ebay. One of them this morning is actually advertising for Mumford and Sons. WTF?
One thing you must remember about the ads on ebay and craigslist… They may not even have tickets that they are selling.
Obviously not, since single day tickets have not even gone on sale. Has there been any official announcement about Mumford?
I thought that Mumford was on hiatus for awhile but I don’t follow all the music news that closely.
