Suggestions for 2020

I have been playing lots and lots of James Taylor for the past week. Gosh, he is a wonderful artist and he has influenced so many people who came after him. I know he has played Telluride in the past but it would be wonderful to see him there again next year. I really like how the festival honours the history and contribution of artists and musicians. Can just imagine him on stage with so many of the people we love. ( I could even dream of seeing a set with JT and Alison Kraus. And JT and Greensky.)

There, that’s my Wishlist done. Happy Thanksgiving US friends

Hoping for an outbreak of peace & love - it’s bluegrass that brings us together :blue_heart::green_heart::blue_heart::green_heart::blue_heart:- could we build a world based on the love our festival generates?

Tristan Scroggins is getting all kinds of attention for his hot mando crosspicking. He has a new EP out and also has some gigs coming up with big star gf Molly T.

He has played RG with dad Jeff’s band, Colorado.

The Bad Livers are playing shows this summer. Already booked for John Hartford Fest. I’ve seen Mark and Danny both play solo or with other bands many times. Never got to be in the same town at the same time when the Bad Livers played. Bucket list band.

The Bad Livers were first introduced to me at Telluride many years ago and after their main stage and Fly Me to the Moon shows I had to see them in Madison later that year. I’m up for a return. If you can make it to Beanblossom I would highly recommend the Hartford Memorial, the most laid back festival in the world. Also they have Sam Bush, The Dillard’s, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades and the High Hawks this year. I thought that the High Hawks would be my new favorite band and they didn’t disappoint. The Madison show was excellent but the riverboat ride in Peoria was probably the best party ever. Looking forward to seeing them in Telluride…

Chris Thile and Brittany Haas duo. They played many duets on Live From Here. She’s no longer in the band but it would be a smoking rosin fest:

The Farrar Family!!! Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Old Salt Union

Wilco has played TBF before. I wasn’t there that year, and I’d watch Wilco play any day of the week anywhere, but would love to see them take over the box canyon again! Pretty certain every year I ask for Wilco. I’m more of a Jeff than a Jay fan though.

Willie Nelson ain’t gonna make it. He told people in albuquerque that he won’t come here because of the altittude. Adding a couple thousand more feet won’t help.
