Suggestions for 2017

Agree re Lil Smokies ( thanks Sugar) they were unbelievably good and deserve a bigger audience next year.

I hope Hot Rize are there, have been playing their stuff nonstop ( well in between Greensky, I finally got their back catalogue and OMG how great is Handguns?, am so late to the party)

I would also love to see AK and Union Station.i may have mentioned this about 3000 times.

I might be a long way away but I had many drinks last night. Sobering day.

Will be great to meet up the Telluride family and enjoy some big hugs! Big hugs back to you all.

Can we finally get some Bieber love around here?

What about Corb Lund? He’s awesome.

I’m with AF on the Allison Kraus dream, too. It’s been too long since we had AKUS!

I would personally prefer Justin Timberlake over the Biebs, though… :lol

But Timberlake is NOT bluegrass!!!

How about Steve Earle & Shawn Colvyn?

I would love to see Horseshoes and Hand Grenades back to Telluride for my 30th. Colorado folks can check them out next week with stops in Frisco, Aspen, Ft. Collins, Boulder and Denver. They have become one of my favorite bands to see and after six years of touring are ready for another shot at the Fred Shellman stage. All their shows in Wisconsin seem to sell out and looking forward to seeing them Saturday night at First Avenue in Minneapolis. I also think this is a likely year to have AKUS back.

John, I saw Steve and Shawn a couple of years back, and while I love Steve Earle, Shawn Colvin left me flat. I found myself hoping her song would end soon so we could get back to Steve! Give me Steve Earle and the Buegrass Dukes!

I second the call for Horseshoes and Handgrenades!!! They are one of the funnest bands to see live! The way they interact on the stage with each other is just incredible.

  • 1 Lil Smokies
  • 1 Sturgill Simpson
  • 1 Father John Misty

Would love to see Trampled By Turtles in 2017, but I’m pretty sure they are taking a much-needed hiatus next year.

Also Trout Steak Revival would be nice to have back on the main stage.

:thumbsup

You know, I feel the same. I was really pleased when she toured Australia and we went to see her. I was underwhelmed. She wasn’t bad, don’t get me wrong but she didn’t connect. Couldn’t understand what was going on because she plays with so many musicians I like and enjoy. Funny

I would also love to Rhiannon Giddens return and bring Carolina Chocolate Drops. She has an extraordinary stage presence and I would love to see her again. We play their music, great band, never seen them live!

Man, you guys have such fantastic talent…I’m a tiny bit jealous…we have fantastic beaches, kangaroos, cold beer and clean air…but you got the better bands…

:flower :flower :flower.

ER played the fest in 2013 and played a very nice set. If you dig through the bt.etree archives you can find their set somewhere.

I’m hoping Billy Strings. If we do come back after death, this cat is like a reborn Lester Flatt. Yep, that good, and clearly an old soul.

I would love to see Sturgill Simpson…I wonder if that is a possibility.
