So, door number one.... opened now.... "voila"!

Every year I type “Ry Cooder” somewhere in the “who do you want to see next year” thread. So … thank you, thank you, thank you! He first caught my ear in the 1960’s with Captain Beefheart and I’ve been hooked ever since but I’ve never seen him live. This is a sublimely great surprise!

Thanks PB!

He’s been a favorite of mine for longer than I care to admit, Well, OK 1970. This is fantastic.

He doesn’t play out very often, this will be a treat!

Ferg,

You are, quite simply, THE BEST!!! :medal

Once Again, THANK YOU!!!

Buenaventura Vista Social Club, and an old one Get Rythem, awesome stuff. I am already re thinking my decision to not come to Telluride. Ugh! :pirate

How are we suppose to celebrate your marriage if you and Annette don’t come this year?!?!?

+1

Ry Cooder has played on more “hits” than Carter has liver pills. Look up a song by the Monkees called “As We Go Along”. Session guitarists include Cooder, Danny Kortchmar, and Neil Young. And Carole King wrote the song.

:medal :medal I have been fascinated with the sound of the slide. This is above all the most interesting of all to me and I am saving myself for a first listen at Tride. So incredibly thoughtful. I know you did that just for me. :lol crazy good. :medal

Don’t we all feel that way. This lineup is PBG fan inspired anyway you slice it
Even if all 10,000 of us feel that way :pickin :lovedr

Ry Cooder’s mandolin playing is outstanding as well. He and Sam jamming would be incredible.

I heard just a small taste to see what Ry is about and man I can almost jump out of my skin. Excited to just devour his sound in Tride and Sammy makes every thing better. Can not wait!. Sammy can play a mean slide as well :medal

Wow love the new to me aspect that PBG always throws in. :medal
