I like this songkick page better…

I’m guessing Mumford and Avett Bros

That would make it difficult for him to be in Telluride. Damn.

My guesses are as follows:

Mumford and Sons (I feel like this one is happening)
Nickel Creek (Why not?
Avett Brothers (Could happen)
Ryan Adams (Could happen)
Willie Nelson
Zac Brown Band

I think Wilco is very unlikely because they are playing a show on the east coast that Friday. Could happen but I would be surprised.

On Thursday. Doesn’t take three days to fly from Germany.

I would love to see Zac Brown and Willie! I dont expect either but i would LOVE that! Best Telluride ever

Oooh, Avett Brothers?! jumping up and down Pleasepleasepleaseplease! :cheers

Everyone knows that “Hang in there” is a reference to the Japanese proverb, “fall down seven times, stand up eight.” Obviously, Soulja Boy is the mystery performer. :medal

Any of these would be great. We saw ZBB in September at an outdoor show, which reminded us of their set at TBF a couple years ago. One of the best shows I’ve been to in years. I’d like to see Willie, and why not a Nickel Creek reunion, we’re 2/3 of the way there already, right? People are talking on another thread about Cheese or a Phish acoustic set, either of which would be great, IMHO, if unlikely. Speaking of unlikely, Wilco is one band that’s never hooked me. After Uncle Tupelo split, I preferred Son Volt. But, If I had the opportunity to give Wilco a second chance, I’d sure appreciate it.

Regardless, we’re going to have a great time.

Was hoping for Avett Brothers, however they are in Virginia on June 20. Still possible, but less likely.

@Pilgrim - Wilco’s long been a favorite, but they’ve diverted some from the rootsy foundations of Uncle Tupelo and have ended up far less traditional than Son Volt. Not making assumptions about the nature of your experience with them intentionally.

I really think Being There is hard to argue with from any angle, and is still my favorite of their albums despite, perhaps, not being as celebrated critically.

Also, while Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is their “crowning achievement” so far, I think A Ghost is Born might be a bit more “accessible” (despite a couple of weirdo tracks that I happen to like… i.e. “Spiders (Kidsmoke)”).

Anyway … bottom line, though: Wilco is a great live band and I’d really appreciate their presence, though I’m not expecting it

A little off topic, I know, but I’m not sure there’s such as thing as “on topic” in this thread any longer.

Zack, the “topic” aspect of this thread jumped the shark a while ago, but that’s the fun of the forum in these short winter days. I would embrace the chance to see Wilco in T-Ride. One of my best friends swears they are an epic live act, and I have no reason to doubt that. Though it is a stretch, I hope we get something as dramatic.

Oh, I guess it could be Ryan Adams and that is why they are waiting for it to sell out… :evil Maybe , he wants a “redemption”. :flower

Wilco is a fantastic live band – one of the best I’ve ever seen. When I saw them I was not familiar with their music, but I still was very impressed and found the show amazing.

They would be a welcome addition – Cheese and Phish would be fine as well.

Just noticed Wilco’s “Solid Sound” festival gathering is being held in Mass from June 21-23, 2013. I would think this would take them out of consideration from TBF.

“Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival is a three-day celebration of music, comedy, art and community held at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in the scenic small town of North Adams in The Berkshires of Western MA. Envisioned by Wilco and presented in collaboration with MASS MoCA, the weekend features two headlining Wilco concerts, a comedy […]”

Dr. Phil, I just looked up their tour, and they are in Va on June 20th, and headlining 2 shows at the Red Rocks in July, so I have a feeling that TBF may not be in the running for them. :frowning:

Posted on Facebook by Steve Martin:

I will be going on tour with the Steep Canyon Rangers, featuring Edie Brickell to perform songs from our new album ‘Love Has Come for You’ as well as songs from ‘Rare Bird Alert’ and other new tunes. Tour starts May 22. Album is set for release on April 23. Get the list of tour dates here: https://www.facebook.com/SteveMartinofficial/events

Interestingly, SCR now seem to be booked 6/21-6/23 in CT, NJ, & NY, according to Steve Martin’s website. Guess that means SCR will be playing Thursday, unless they bail altogether.
