I think the switch of SCI to Thu headliner has already been made. They may just decide to go in-house for that mid-day Fri slot(i.e. Emmitt-Nershi, Sam Bush and friends, Peart Near).

All great music, but I don’t think they can just eliminate such a big name and not replace.

I am a thirty-year Deadhead. That said…I’d rather see something else at Telluride, and SCI would be an easy call to make.
The other reason: Phil would not have an adequate time slot, which really requires two sets totally three hours.
That is a sick lineup with Scofield and Medeski. I’m going to throw out Railroad Earth as a more realistic replacement. That would be a perfect bluegrass round up.
The new lineup is too badass to miss, John Scofield, John Medeski, Joe Russo, John Kadelick, and Phil. Seriously, I’m pretty pissed I’m missing them elsewhere so this would be a great opportunity for them to make it up to me.
