I have intentionally avoided answering this question in hopes that Laura would jump in. Not that I’m trying to avoid the question, but she is a bit more in the know on how all of this has played out.
here is my answer…however, anything Laura says after me will supercede my answers below.

You may provide yourself with shelter at night next to your car. however, this is not a campground. It’s the city of Lyons park. Please be respectful of the neighborhood next to the line and keep the noise to a minimum. The potential for complaints from the houses next to the line are the number one threat to the town not allowing us to have this line at all in the future.

No, you do not have to stay with your car the entire time. As long as they pay the $$ and pick up a number they can leave and return on Thursday. anyone not with their car when the line is moved will not be allowed to “catch up” to the line and will have to go to the end.
