Mayor's Weather Forecast.

ok, most days look cool… I can deal with the cool…107 right now outside

I’ll be the second! Last year was great, but two years ago was super hot…yep- too hot. 70s at elevation is warm!

a few showers would be cool to keep the dust down :whip

Let’s order the showers for Tuesday & Wednesday only.

a little rain beats relentless cruel sun any day …

Last year was perfect. I didn’t go in '12, but I want to say '11 was cold & rainy a good deal of the time. Was '11 the year everyone woke up to a winter wonderland on Monday?

From The Rain Song, Led Zeppelin

Average Telluride temp June 15th: 70.
Average Telluride temp June 23rd: 73.

Interesting that the average temp heats up 3 degrees over the 10 or so days we’re typically there.

However I do recall it snowed on Sunday night a few years ago, and we woke up with snow on our tent.

You all complain too much. Think of how blessed you are to be out there in Telluride, with great friends, great music, and incredible scenery. We have had snow, rain, cold, wind, heat, whatever, but we make do. I was there in 99, it rained almost every day, we made it through. Too hot? Take a tube ride down the San Miguel. Or find the beer tent. Remember the old joke about a bad day fishing is better than a day at work? When was the last bad day you had at Telluride?

Agreed! So blessed indeed! It was also kinda hot that year tho.

I understand we’re all a bit hypersensitive around here to anything that may even hint at harshing the mellow, but an observation on the mercury doesn’t equate to complaining nor detract from how lucky I feel to be above ground any day.

Skubes is on point. When I talk about the weather forecast in Telluride or previous years’ inclement weather, it’s not coming from a place of negativity. I simply can’t wait until I leave for CO (106 1/2 hours from now) and the thought is consuming my mind. Discussing weather in Telluride is just one more safety valve via which my mind can let out a bit of the pressure that becomes unbearable this time of year.

Let it snow, rain, blaze heat! Who cares cause we have a 4 day pass to joy. :cheers

was 29.7 in Town Park 2 nights ago!

:thumbsup :cheers

Willie Nelson’s set in 99 was probably the wettest that I have ever been in Town Park. Must have rained two inches just during his set, up to my calves in mud that night, then it dried out and left big craters in the dancing area for the next days.
