We gotta stop talking about that stuff, I break into a sweat each time :frowning: I miss the tawny port. I enjoyed many but the Sepelts or something like that was my favorite. I have never found it over here. I remember many a night lost on that stuff. I tended bar at the Marble Bar, and others in the Sydney Hilton, that is where I developed the taste. A long, long time ago. I too, look forward to meeting you this summer!

I will do my best…I never drink it myself but will see what I can do

Please don’t try to carry a bottle over here, you will have many more important things to carry.

I’d check with the airlines before hand on what the rules are for carrying booze in your luggage. :flower

Just bring yourself and gear. I must admit Port is my fav but you will have your hands full with just the necessities.
Anyway your the gem not the stuff you bring. :medal

Thanks gang, it is unlikely we will carry booze over I admit but I am going to think about some Australian fun things to share. See you all soon!

Saw vegimite on the shelf in the grocery in Nashville. Enough Ozzie’s live there to keep the supply moving. I’ll look around down here in Florida and see if it’s available so you don’'t have to drag it with you on the plane. (I think this Festi-Virgin may have her own sacrafice to put the Duk-Lit folks through :lol)

Auntie Hope :festivarian2 :green

Thanks Auntie Hope xx

I think we’d better check on the airline rules for Vegemite, too.

I’m pretty sure Bevin made you an honorary member of Camp DukTape (featuring Totally Lit) since that’s his tribe. They have a different set of standards for their camp (higher, more respectable, less ass-slappy) than Camp Run-A-Muck. But have no fear (or have fear), because we intermingle freely without any checkpoints between boarders. We also have an open-trade agreement if you are into haggling.

Well I take a few weeks off and miss all the fun, huh?

Anyway, yes… AF is now an honorary member of Kamp Duk Tape but we aren’t possessive about our Festi-virgins or anything. And in fact, we’ve also been know to run-a-muck ourselves. But I’m not sure I need to run-a-muck into any vegimite! I’ll have enough on my hands in June already, I think!

Bevin, im planning on concocting a special Caramello Bear cocktail. this crazy obsession with Vegemite…i mean it is really healthy and Australian babies are raised on the stuff but it is hardly FUN. Now, chocolate koala bears filled with caramel made into delicious cocktails…yeah, that is going to be my special Aussie contribution…

Did she say Caramel? Gonna have to save one of those for me !! :medal

Don’t forget to come up with a really cool name for the drink. Something memorable and preferably offensive.

Yeah, something like D.A.M.N. - Dingo Ate My Nanna

:lol :lol :lol So funny! :lol :medal

Oh dear. Let’s see, the basis is caramello Bears . They are based on our koalas. Koalas are famous for three things. 1 they eat eucalyptus leaves and get really, really stoned.2 they like to wee on people from up in the trees. 3. They are the only animal in the world that gets chlamydia ( apart from people). Gee, I’m finding it really difficult to think of an offensive name for these drinks, help me out festivrarians… :wave :eek

Ha ha ha ha ha

:cheers I believe all of this activity already takes place @ Camp Run-a-Muck(surely there’s photos of 2 of the 3), but drinks named for wildlife seems quite fitting.
How about a :quoteWeeBearlyScrewed :quote :horsey :horsey

Careless Bear or Bearly Cares come to mind.
Very fitting for Run-a-muck. :jester

Then again, you could call it Kangaroo Kud
