The date is wrong, but it does say āTelluride Bluegrassā. If theyāre coming back, Iām totally happy with this. They have a new album coming out, and they havenāt scheduled any new dates in Colorado other than this one. I canāt wait to hear their new stuff. Maybe we can get the boys to come out to Town Park and pick a few this year! You can usually just point Nicky Sanders in the direction of a jam, and heāll play with people all night. :thumbsup
oh man this would be awesome. I absolutely love Steep Canyon! Their set during the rain at Rockygrass last year was amazing!
Iām finally doing the Planet Bluegrass trifecta, TBF, Rocky Grass and Folks and it is shaping up to be unbelievable.
Festival!!!
Iāve done two legs of the trifecta (Telluride and RockyGrass) for several years, but Iāve never been to Folks. It sounds amazing, though. Thatās some high-quality festivation right there.
Now I just need to work on getting an actual ticket to Telluride and RockyGrass. Yikes!
Espionage mission for today: See when the Steep Canyon Rangers are playing Telluride.
Is it June 6th? Or is it during the Fest?
On the site it says: June 6 - Telluride Bluegrass!
So I wrote a quick note to their website operator who thanked me for catching the problem. But she couldnāt get to work today because Nashville is in the middle of a huge snow and ice storm and the city is locked down. She said sheād check tomorrow and let me know.
Yes this is a most wonderful idea. Love Warren.
And Victor Wooten is my absolute favorite musician of all time! In a round about way he is the reason I got into bluegrass in the first place. No looking back now.
A Sunday gospel set would please me to the core.
That would be great, and itād be very cool to see Victor there on his own and not as part of the Flecktones (though Lord knows Iāll be celebrating mightily next time they decide to reunite). But looking at the lineup so far, Iām guessing Rock My Soul featuring The Fairfield Four & The McCrary Sisters will be the gospel set for Sunday morning. Iām sure theyāll be good in that spot.
