Potentially another clue…AKUS’s new album is entitled “Paper Airplane”…I guess that could be construed to be “on the wind.”
Message From The Wind… Blue Highway.
I can dream.
It was REALLY just a windy day here in Nashville Folks!!! :lol
So, I was reading a web site that does bookings for bands… and came across booking info for three bands traveling together this summer, two of which have already been announced for TBF 2011. Now, the 3rd band, that would be one we saw LAST year. Could it be that we will have another back-to-back year for someone TBF introduced us to last year??? Because of something else that randomly happened, that would make no sense to anyone here on the forum, I think there is a real possibility I might be on to something. Gosh, I hope I’m right and you folks don’t make me pay dearly if I’m not!
Ferg… Dustin… Brian… have anything you’d like to share??? PLEASE!!!

The tour (I expect) you’re referring to ends in late April, though, not this summer – not saying you’re wrong but seems less likely if that’s the case!
I won’t say who it is, since you’re being so dang quiet about it
I have heard about a solid rumor (that came from Del himself) that Del MCoury was going to be at TBF this year…just saying. :wave
Well Edward Sharpe just put out a tour with Mumford & OCMS… So I hope I am right that they would come back again to Telluride! Just my guess of course. :cheers
Whoops! Someone already hinted to this one already! Sorry for the repeat.
Sarah Jarosz has nothing going on that week! Would love to see her, missed her last year. :thumbsup
My dream addition: Buffalo Springfield, doing Bonnaroo the week before!
Listening to: Climax Blues Band
I’ll chime in just to say that we’ll be announcing the complete single-day lineup (along with single-day tickets) this Thursday (March 10)…
THIS.
Oh my…just realized that the “wind” hint from Auntie Hope could fit with my “Buffalo Springfield” wish…Neil Young premiered “Prairie Wind” some years ago, in Nashville…
Please let the final announcement be Neil Young and Buffalo Springfield!
that would take it to the next level. even though i thought it was already there.
This from Pollstar.
“All indications point to a tour by a reunited Buffalo Springfield. While never a member of the group, David Crosby told Rolling Stone last month that the band consisting of surviving members Stephen Stills, Richie Furay and Young would tour in the fall. The Bonnaroo Music Festival lists the Buffalo Springfield on its lineup but has yet to announce a firm date, meaning the band will appear sometime during the festival’s four-day run June 9-12 near Manchester, Tenn. The band performed publicly for the first time in 42 years when it appeared both days at Young’s annual Bridge School Benefit in Mountain View, Calif., Oct. 23-24.”
I’m thinking…what the hell boys, just ride on in to Telluride the following week? Wow,WOW, Wow if that would come to fruition!
:medal :rock :woohoo :rollin :clap :hop :dancing :dance :peace
Rick Springfield?
Oh, while I’m reviewing the forum, I finally have to jump in and stop this!
Man I’d LOVE to see Buffalo Springfield at Telluride, we tried. They even called us back!
But, ain’t happening.
I hate to think we disappoint, but you’ve seen the “firepower”, though I take no offense to your hopes.
That is our fuel. But we really only have a couple more minor things to add. Good lord and Pastor in his nifty blue chrysler! Add 'em up and there is barely a spot left.
We’re tidying up dates and times, but sad to say the greatest lineup in recent memory, if not ever, is already known to you.
And, may I say, it is T A S T Y.
“Telluride Bluegrass”, - a genre unto itself…
I can’t think of a single time I was disappointed by Planet Bluegrass. I’m not sure it’s possible. You could not release the line up till the day before and I’d still already have my ticket and everything packed up. Plus, is it possible to disappoint with Robert Plant on the line up? I think not.

Well Ferg, I have to thank you for setting the record straight and refuting the rumor, and dang if you aren’t right again…
T A S T Y… it is just the right word to sum it all up for 2011! :thumbsup
Once again, for the record…
It was a windy day, for real, in Nashville. That was not a “clue”.

Hot Buttered Rum is certainly tasty!
Believe me…there are no complaints here! thanks for everything you guys do for the festival. Again, I have no complaints…we are just getting a bit “itchy” to get this party started! :wave :wave :wave :wave
