2016 Telluride Bluegrass initial lineup

Yes, thats a good point. Time to resurrect my " bring back Alisson Krauss" call…

Something tells me that’s not what the green room will smell like.

I really love the Infamous Stringdusters . But my favorite band right now and for quite a long time has been Greensky Bluegrass . They are such amazing musicians and lyrical geniuses . That’s all I listen to basically . Ive never been to a night grass show but this next year I will make a point of getting Greensky nightgrass tickets . :medal :medal

I feel exactly the same way. Im besotted with them. I play them every day. Cannot wait to see them again

Though it hurts my little (and shrinking) brain to do MATH, I did some anyway. When will the pain stop?

Total 2015 artists: 30

Minus Announced artists: 22

Still To Be Announced 8 (+ or -)

Ferg - how about a little news every week???

Gotta say I am sort of on the edge of my seat here. I get the feeling he is definitely holding back Could be wrong though… :cheers

I have to say, I saw the Dave Rawlings Machine last night and they were pretty incredible. Envious of the festivarians who get to see them in the box canyon along with so many other greats this year!

Maybe we’ll get another awesome Willie Watson Elks Park show too.

Saw Greensky and Horseshoes & Hand Grenades Saturday night in Ohio. Great show, both bands. greensky at top of their game right now.

Gillian Welch will be with Dave at Telluride this year. She has it listed on her tour page

so…is the mighty warren haynes bringing his ashes and dust cd to TBF for 2016?
he’s a perfect fit for the festival with this release

the guy is in my top 5 as far as singer/songwriter/geetar players go

anyone know if he has ever played this festival?

did i mention NOW IS THE TIME TO BRING HIM??? :pickin

Bruce Hornsby has nothing booked the entire month of June and almost all of his booked shows this year are at fests.

DO IT!!

Del announced his main stage performance time today on Facebook (6/16 at 7:00). Does that mean the rest of the full day line up is soon to follow?

Pokey LaFarge is still free if you want some midwest swing!

Please get Loretta Lynn! New album out March 4th and Sam Bush plays on it! I just checked her website.
She’s available, just sayin

Dude…this was too good. Also, when Punch Brothers did a workshop 5+ years ago-ish…so cool seeing artists like that on a smaller stage. I feel like they are a little more relaxed and experimental with their tunes. Can’t wait for the new additions and single day lineups!!!

Gordon Lightfoot, 50 years of making music, is playing in Denver on the 17th. I do not recall him playing at TBF, but he would make a nice late afternoon acoustic set on 6/16. “If you could read my mind, love, what a tale my thoughts would tell”

Now there’s a blast from the past…is it me or do the songs get slower and slower once an Artist gets older…? I noticed Peter Rowans set was almost to a crawl…
