2013 Lineup Suggestions

BLUEGRASS, I travel to the one of the biggest, and best bluegrass festivals on the planet to hear bluegrass. Rockygrass last year just blew me away, and I am hoping for the same feeling at Telluride. I love bluegrass. That is what I want to hear. :thumbsup

How about finishing the weekend off with a Hot Rize set leading into a New Grass Revival Reunion on Sunday night?

I heard Alabama Shakes were nominated for a grammy! I want to say album of the year, but I’m not completely sure.

My suggestions would include:

The Jame Gang - Joe Walsh
The Band - or what’s left of them
Zac Brown Band
JD Souther, Chris Hillman & Richey Furray
Mark Knofler
Buffalo Springfield - for what its worth

Sam has to close sunday night, Its his festival. The set he did at the 30th with everyone on stage was one of the best performances I have ever seen. I Don’t even remember how late he played? AKUS, No Thanks, Haven’t been impressed with her last few appearances. The Dawg, Ryan Schoop and the Rubberband would be great, as well as Steven Kellogg and the Sixers. “you don’t stand a chance if you can’t dance in your underpants”
Steve and SCR would be great. Anyone for Hayseed Dixie again?

And Keller would be awesome!

Jerry Joseph

Saw him last night. He was playing acoustic guitar with Steve Drizos, formerly of Dexter Grove, on drums. Awesome show.

And, as always…

The Handsome Family

ZACH BROWN & JIMMY BUFFET!!

A lil off bluegrass…

Robert Randolph and the family band

William Elliott Whitmore

Citizen Cope

:thumbsup

how about new monsoon??

No Mumford and Son or Zach Brown please.

My thing with Mumford is that, whether or not you like “the craze” (as many people have put it), they always do something interesting, be it their inclusion of guests or choice of covers, playing unplugged in the crowd at the Sheridan, etc. They fit in the Festivarian stage spirit, and I like that, even if I could do without their set.

I’m hoping to hear the Infamous Stringdusters announced – the more I hear from them, the more awesome they prove to be, and they seem like one of these bands that just gets better and better.

Buckethead playing “Colma” while the sun sets, followed by a guest appearance w/the Flecktones. :cheers

Stringdusters are a must.
Blue Highway
Blue Moon Rising
Mountain Heart
RRE
Emmitt Nershi Band

Someone mentioned Joe Bonamassa. He would bring the house down Saturday night.

Sam has to close on Sunday.

I say it every year. The Gourds! You won’t be disappointed.

I’ll second that.

And I’ve said before that Greensky should be regulars.

Yes, absolutely true!

RRE!
STRINGDUSTERS!
GRISMAN!
OLD CROW!
KOTKE/GORDON!
TRAMPLED!

…OR ANYONE AND EVERYONE ELSE!
